Booking

The hiring contract is between the Guest and the Owner. The contact name and signatory given on the booking form is the Guest and agrees to be responsible for Guests occupying the property and agrees to all conditions of hire. Guests must be those named on the booking form and not exceed those stated at any time. Bookings can only be accepted from persons over 18 years of age. All bookings are accepted on the understanding that the property is taken for holiday purposes only, for no more than two people, and is not used for any other purposes and must be vacated by the agreed time and date. A reservation made by e-mail or telephone will be held provisionally for five (5) days only and will not be valid until a signed booking form with deposit have been received by the Owner and confirmation of booking has been made.

 

Payment

A minimum deposit of 50% of the tariff is required with the booking form.  The balance is then due no later than eight weeks before commencement date. In the event of non-payment of the balance by the due date, the Owner reserves the right, after taking all reasonable steps to contact the Guest, to cancel the holiday and the booking deposit will be forfeited. If the booking is made less than eight weeks before the commencement date, full payment should be sent with the booking form.

 

Cancellation

The rental tariff does not include holiday cancellation protection. Holiday cancellation insurance is the responsibility of the Guest. Any cancellation of the booking must be made in writing by the Guest and will apply from the date of receipt of the letter and will incur the following cancellation charges:

-  more than eight weeks before commencement date:    -  forfeit of booking deposit

-  55-14 days before commencement:                                -  forfeit of 75% of cost

- 13-1 days before commencement:                                   -  forfeit of 100% of cost

 

If for any reason due to force majeure the property becomes unsuitable for hire, the Owner reserves the right to cancel the holiday in which event all monies paid in advance by the Guest will be refunded in full and this will be the extent of the liability of the Owner and the Guest will have no further claim on the Owner.

 

Arrival and departure

Keys will be available (from the main house) from 3.30pm onwards on day of arrival and should be returned by 10.30am allowing for a brief inspection of the premises before vacating on day of departure. Prior arrangement should be made with the Owner if Guests wish to vacate earlier.

Any breakages/damages should be notified and paid for before departure.

 

Notes

The property is Owner managed.

The Owner reserves the right of access to the property in emergency or for maintenance with due cause.

The Owner does not accept any liability for loss or damage to any property or vehicle belonging to the Guests.

Pets are only permitted by special arrangement with the Owner.

 

No smoking is permitted on any part of the premises.
